Foto de stock - 22 May 2021, Saxony-Anhalt, Stecklenberg: A hiker takes a photo of an old lime tree at the entrance to the Lauenburg ruins in the Harz mountains. It almost looks as if only the firm clinging grip of the root system is still protecting the walls of the medieval complex from collapsing. The lime tree was uncovered during archaeological excavations in 1903. It is a popular destination for excursions in the Harz Mountains. Its age is estimated at 150 to 180 years. The lime tree stands directly on the castle hill south of the Harz municipality of Stecklenberg. Photo: Stephan Schulz/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB. - Stecklenberg/Saxony-Anhalt/Germany
